Mildenhall & District Swimming Club looks at all swimmers as swimmers. If the swimmer needed more water time, encouragement or special treatment due to a disability it would be provided.
If the swimmer wanted to participate in a gala they would be encouraged.
Our Coach has already attended a course in “How to Coach Disabled People in Sport” and Mildenhall & District Swimming Club would encourage their teachers to also attend.
We like to think of ourselves as a progressive club and should the need arise Mildenhall & District Swimming Club would put into place the procedure that would help the swimmer obtain his or her goal.
Disability and Accessibility Information
The car park has a number of disabled bays clearly marked and located near the entrance, with dropped curb access from the car park to the footpath. Both the learner pool and main pool, the changing rooms and spectator area are step free. Hoists are available for both pools, as well as disabled dry and wet changing areas and toilets.
